Halloween treats

Well, Jonathan's school has never had a Halloween anything, and we could never even send treats. Last year I made a cute bucket with pixie sticks and the teacher never gave them out.
This year, we get to send treats and goodies.... so I have been busy making our bags.
I think they would have been much cuter in a smaller bag. I am sad. But my boys will love to have something to pass out!
Here are the only three finished ones, and here are the toppers for the rest, 44 of anything is such a chore! ;) Have a GREAT day folks!

San Antonio Regionals

I love all the SU! events I have ever attended. And this was no exception. I was surprised that Shelli was there, but so glad, she has such a great attitude and encouraging spirit. She i s easy to talk to and never acts like she is too busy. I got to chat with her several times.
I was especially excited, bc I got to be a "helper". I really enjoyed that. I got to help with registration that morning, signing everyone in, and then during make and take time, I got to help everyone. I also helped clean up the tables and get them ready for Saturday's group. I really enjoyed being a helper. I got all my stuff early and made it before I went, mainly so I could help anyone who needed it, but also bc I wouldn't have time to do them there. So here is a card we made at regional. I can't wait to share more ideas I got when I was there. It was so great, so many ideas and samples...

Remember the stationary box? I need to remake it to go with the Holiday Trinket theme, but here are the samples for the cards we will make to go into it. We will also make gift tags, and note cards!

I am off to San Antonio! I will be home Saturday, my peeps are here if you need anything at all. I am looking forward to the SU! regionals, and can't wait to share the projects with you when I get back!

which do I love more?

I am loving the top note die. It can do so much.
I love it as a topper on the medium bags, or the small bags, just a twist of the direction! so cool.
I was doing some Halloween rub ons and also made a card! Too easy and cute.

after the party

We had a great time at Krista's house warming.
Dana was a life saver, I really don't know what I would do with out her.
She made the day fun, festive, and much nicer than I could have done on my own!
Linda was a huge help too, she has parties figured out!
Here is the thank you I designed for Krista to send.
It is very simple and plain, she has to make 50, so we kept it easy.

teacher conference

Well, yesterday was fun, teacher conference day! I had good talks with the teachers, and it seems that my boys are in the best class for them. Their teachers like and understand them, they are doing well, and being good. What more can a mom want? Not much!
Jonathan's teacher asked me to make her a clipboard like the other teachers, so here it is. I hope she likes it. I did the front and back. I didn't have the papers in the colors she wanted, so DANA bailed me out, as always. She is too good to me, but I am thankful I have her!

I will work on the scrap a stack layouts today and get them posted tonight/tomorrow. I got the Christmas papers, but it will be the same layouts, but in the themes/papers to the right! Let me know soon, I have to order stuff!

re-do

Well, my silly computer is feeling poorly again. So sad, really. So, if I go missing, please call me! ;) I looked at Lindsey's blog for a little inspiration, and well, revamped the pages entirely, that and my mom said the colors were way too dull. So her we have it. The new lay out. I need to add pictures so that you can tell what I was trying to do. But I love the pumpkin scene, I may a little black to darken it up and make it nightish looking. I had to use last year's 12 X 12 designer paper, bc that is what I had.

Don't forget the CROP is Saturday
Scrap Club is Sunday
Stamp Club is Monday
Come join us

simple????

Well, this layout is SUPER SIMPLE. I have a few ideas of how I will change it. My biggest problem is having enough for 10, I want to make sure whatever I make, I have enough for everyone, which limits me. But here it is, PLEASE comment, tell me what to do...... Thanks Nicole for lending your set to the cause!

I could use

I could use a little stamp therapy too!
Kristin Jack left a comment under my deer card I think, it has a link to her blog, go and check it out, she made the cutest candles using the halloween rub ons. too cute!
So today is one of those days that is the reality of my "the PTA owns me" statement. Which for the record, I am fine with. I love everything I do. Just this week is another BIGGY PTA week.
So I am sorry for the absence of stamping on the blog today, and more than likely tomorrow as well, since it will be another PTA day.
But I had to drop by and share a funny Jeremiah story. Because I know you all love those so much, and Scott said I HAD to. ;)
Tonight, as Jonathan was reading his homework about Bats, I was quizing him to make sure he was understanding what he was reading. I was totally impressed that Jonathan without any help from me was able to read the word "echolocation". The book said that bats hibernate, so I asked, "now what is hibernate again?" To which JEREMIAH replied, that is when animals go into a deep sleep, and their heart rates drop and they have to eat a whole lot before to store energy until they wake up. Hey mom, you could sleep all winter and in spring, you could wake up and be skinny!" This made Jonathan very excited, and he encouraged me to do just that. To which Jeremiah reminded me that I was in fact not a bat!

I love this nature silhouettes sets. I am thinking about this being our stamp club card this month. Laci and Kristin will be our hostesses. This was a fun, fast card, and I was glad to use a new technique. I can't wait to see what some of you guys do with it!

stationary box

How fun is this? I love this little box! And it was super easy to make. Think we will make them Christmas themed!
Then we will make cards to go in the back slot, tags to in the little front slot, love notes, and it will hold postage stamps too! There is also a mini address / to do book with a pen.

my sweet mom (wife)

You all know how I treasure my mom. She has been such a blessing to me and my family. I like to joke that she is what I needed this whole time, "my wife" I call her. It's a little phrase I stole from Lisa Lewis. But it is true, she cleans as I cook, she puts clothes from the washer into the dryer, she sweeps, doesn't have to be nagged, or told. It is amazing. Everyone should have one.
This morning she was dealing with all the moving issues one faces. And she was wishing she had some return address labels with her new address. So, I made her some. That simple. she will be surprised when she gets home today. Stamps just make everything better. hope someone does something sweet for you all today, or that you get to do something sweet for someone else!
