Well Jonathan's grade at Spring Valley has had a big unit on bats, and I looked and looked for a bat to make for halloween, and of course couldn't. I found this a few days ago, isn't it too cute? I love this guy. I am going to make book marks for his class, just for kicks, because I can...he he he

team SVE

I love my kid's school, and I love being so involved. I really do. This entire week has been spent with me at that school though. And that is rough. Good thing I have a wife! ;) I am so thankful my mom lives with us to help take up the slack. Anyway, I have made a bat cave for the 2nd grade hall, I have helped with the taking of close to 700 Christmas ornament pictures, I have hung up art work for open house tonight, and today, today I redid the bulletin board. click to enlarge. When I bought the felt snowflakes from SU! that isn't what I intended to use them for, but I can reuse them later. The letters show up better in person on the first window. Love the DSP I used for boarders? I do.

So EXCITED!!!!

At my last trip to IKEA I found these super cute little "napkin holders". I bought two, then after checking out, realized I needed more, so I went back for 9 more! Mom said, "Oh, those would make GREAT file holders for a desk" and she is right, so I can't tell you how cute they are, and the photo doesn't do it justice. But check it out!!!! I love these, and YOU can make one or two at the Christmas gift night.

Halloween treats

Well, Jonathan's school has never had a Halloween anything, and we could never even send treats. Last year I made a cute bucket with pixie sticks and the teacher never gave them out.
This year, we get to send treats and goodies.... so I have been busy making our bags.
I think they would have been much cuter in a smaller bag. I am sad. But my boys will love to have something to pass out!
Here are the only three finished ones, and here are the toppers for the rest, 44 of anything is such a chore! ;) Have a GREAT day folks!

little birdie

this is another regional project. Isn't it too cute. It holds three little love notes and the envelopes. What fun.

San Antonio Regionals

I love all the SU! events I have ever attended. And this was no exception. I was surprised that Shelli was there, but so glad, she has such a great attitude and encouraging spirit. She i s easy to talk to and never acts like she is too busy. I got to chat with her several times.
I was especially excited, bc I got to be a "helper". I really enjoyed that. I got to help with registration that morning, signing everyone in, and then during make and take time, I got to help everyone. I also helped clean up the tables and get them ready for Saturday's group. I really enjoyed being a helper. I got all my stuff early and made it before I went, mainly so I could help anyone who needed it, but also bc I wouldn't have time to do them there. So here is a card we made at regional. I can't wait to share more ideas I got when I was there. It was so great, so many ideas and samples...

stationary kit

Remember the stationary box? I need to remake it to go with the Holiday Trinket theme, but here are the samples for the cards we will make to go into it. We will also make gift tags, and note cards!

I am off to San Antonio! I will be home Saturday, my peeps are here if you need anything at all. I am looking forward to the SU! regionals, and can't wait to share the projects with you when I get back!

which do I love more?

I am loving the top note die. It can do so much.
I love it as a topper on the medium bags, or the small bags, just a twist of the direction! so cool.
I was doing some Halloween rub ons and also made a card! Too easy and cute.

after the party

We had a great time at Krista's house warming.
Dana was a life saver, I really don't know what I would do with out her.
She made the day fun, festive, and much nicer than I could have done on my own!
Linda was a huge help too, she has parties figured out!
Here is the thank you I designed for Krista to send.
It is very simple and plain, she has to make 50, so we kept it easy.
