book review for blooging fo books

A Sound Among the Trees takes places over several time periods. It involves people of several different generations as well.
Marielle reminded me of Ruth with her, I will go where you go and your people will be my people attitude towards her new husband and his grandmother in law and her house. Marielle's choices are not easy, but her character makes them believable and admirable.
Adelaide, or "Mimi", is a feisty self titled old blue haired lady. I enjoyed her spunk and evolving through out the book. I guess you really are never too old to learn.
Caroline, to me, brought it all together, and made sense of a strange family dynamic.
I felt like Carson's character was pretty weak, and almost pointless to the story. I would have like for his role to have more significance, other than providing the odd family set up.
Susannah is my favorite character, and I loved reading her letters. It was a great insight into what life during the civil war must have been like for civilians. It was also a great time look into life during that era.
I would highly recommend this book for a fun and light history lesson.

Beginning today, April 1, and continuing while supplies last, you and your customers will be able to purchase special "grab bags" in the Online Store. These grab bags will come in three sizes: the $5, the $10, and the $15 grab bag. Each bag will contain a variety of discontinued products that could include a combination of any of the following: ribbons, Accents & Elements, chipboard, Designer Series Papers, and Simply Sent kit components. Grab bags will not contain stamp sets or tools.

Please keep the following in mind:

• Grab bag orders can only be placed on demonstrator orders or in the Online Store.
• There is no minimum purchase required to participate in the grab bag special offer.
• There is no limit to the number of grab bags a customer may purchase; however, grab bag items are only available while supplies last.
• All grab bag sales are final. There are no refunds or exchanges.
• Not all grab bags will be unique.
• You should use the following item numbers when ordering grab bags:

For January's stamp a stack, there will be two options.
Thank Yous or Valentines. for $10 you will make 5 each of three designs of either theme for a total of 15 cards! Valentine will be limited due to supplies.

fun Christmas gifts

So, a friend of mine reads all the time, but doesn't have a bookmark, so I asked her and she said she couldn't keep up with them. So a few weeks later, I found some elastic ones and almost bought her one, but then second guessed myself. I told her about them and she thought they were a great idea. So, I made some!!!
The other pictures are bulletin boards I made for my 15 year old niece and my cousin's 15 year old twins for Christmas!!!

OK, so the jury is still out on the distressed kit, I just don't know about making things look old on purpose. it seems counter to the point.
I love the button brads from the trinkets though! always a silver lining.
